TPHC Meeting Minutes
Previous Minutes- NSB Board Meeting, April 20, 2008
In attendance: Captain Penny, First Mate Kathleen, Scribe Ron and Member at Large Paula  
  • Cap'n Penny: Are all NSB members on the PHiP email List? Ron and Paula yes; Kathleen no, but she goes to the site to review the notes
  • First Mate Kathleen: Every TPHC event must have a sign-in sheet and each member must sign in so as to get credit for their participation. All present NSB members agreed on this point
  • We discussed and agreed that the financial report must be maintained and made available to the NSB members on a monthly basis; a finanacial "snapshot" would be presented on the TPHC website for all members to view
  • All NSB members must make a concerted effort to meet all new and prospective members; when someone joins TPHC, the money is to be given to the Purser (Bobbie) or the First Mate (Katheleen) if the Purser is not present; whoever receives the money must email the First Mate so she can add them to the sign in sheet and the Scribe, so he can add that person to the email list and Yahoo calendar, if the memeber wants their birthday and/or anniversary added
  • Website update: The first paragraph on the home page eill be updated with "more friendly language"; Penny: Ron will investigate if a printable membership form can be added to the website
  • All present NSB members discussed the possibility of moving the TPHC fiscal year (June-July) to allign with the calendar year (January-December), which is also the Club's current election calendar (like other Florida chapters)
  • Penny: Bobbie going to try to get the most accurate membership list (based on dues) and bring to the next NSB neeting
  • All present NSB members discussed the upcoming 2008 calendar: a) Regatta- TPHC will donate 2 family memberships and a platters of various items, including a $15 gift certificate for Barnacle Bills, b) Relay for Life- TPHC will hold a garage sale with possibly selling cold drinks (soda and water); c) Icteknuchee river run with multiple Parrothead clubs; d) Phrenzy- Del Suggs opening for Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band; event to be sponsored by Cuzzys Sauces and Hank 99.9 FM; e) A1AS Beach Bash
  • It was discussed that Leslie will purchase flowers for TJ's fathers funeral
  • The meeting adjorned 
Current Minutes- NSB Board Meeting, July 28 , 2008
In attendance: Captain Penny, First Mate Kathleen, Scribe Ron, Purser Bobbie, and Members at Large Paula and Angel Lluveras
  • Cap'n Penny opened the meeting by asking the Scribe to get the last minutes out to the Club as soon as possible
  • The current balance in the TPHC banking account is $1859, which does not include any new membership dues
  • The collection of current and future dues will be recorded in a receipt book and a receipt given to the membership for payment; each NSB member will carry a receipt book
  • Another email will be sent to the Club announcing the proposed dues structure and the benefits of membership
  • Cap'n Penny: All NSB members need to promote the Ichetucknee river run as multiple clubs will be attending (good exposure for TPHC)
  • Cap'nPenny: Please submit any questions that you want the NSB to pose to the group at the upcoming Florida retreat meeting in Orlando
  • First Mate Kathleen: Is it possible to add Pay Pal on our website (for those who wish to renew their membership electronically)?
  • The following upcoming events were discussed. Kathleen suggested that all events should be added to the website: 1) Ichnetucknee Multi-Club River Run, August 9, 2) 3rd Annual Florida Leader's Retreat, 3) Fall beach cleanup- date TBA, 4) MOTM, October 30-November 2 in Key West, 5) 3rd annual Spat festival, October 10-11, St. George Island, 6) Ronald McDonald Thanksgiving event, 7) North Florida Fair November 6-16 and TPHClub's involvement, 8) Luau for autism, October 10 at the car museum; WCTV will be advertising; tickets are $20; Purser said hotel arrangents are being made
  • New Club logo, T-shirt and stickers- Penny is looking into
  • Membership tags- Kathleen needs to order supplies
  • Email etiquette- Penny sent out and Ron approved the email re-minder to the Club
  • All those in attendance had an opportunity to discuss oth-r matters. Angel mentioned that an adults-only party will be at the Lluveras' house on 08-08-08 in order to raise money/awareness of the American Heart Association. Salty is scheduled to play
